ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
I am a fully qualified instructor registered by the (DVSA) Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency.
My car is a Ford fiesta manual and is always well maintained.
DRIVING LICENCE AND EYESIGHT:
You must hold a current valid driving licence (provisional or full)
You must also be able to read a car number plate at the required distance of 20.5 meters with glasses or contact lenses if normally worn. If these are required then you must wear them at ALL times when driving.
COMFORT AND SAFETY:
In the interests of comfort and safety you are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing,
Please also take note of any medication you are taking, that may affect your ability to drive safely. Always read the instructions on the medicine very carefully, if you are in any doubt please contact your doctor or pharmacy.
BOOKING LESSONS:
Lessons are booked on a first come first served basis. To ensure that you continually get the time of day that suits you, consider booking your lessons as well in advance as you can.
Driving tests and pre-test lessons will take priority, so be prepared for your lesson time being moved.
PUNCTUALITY:
In your own interest you are advised to be punctual for your lesson appointments.
I will normally wait for a maximum of 15 minutes only and then the lesson will be terminated, and the lesson will be due to be paid in full.
If I am likely to be delayed for more than 15 minutes I will endeavour to contact you beforehand to let you know.
Any lesson time lost as a result of this will be made up on a future lesson.
ABOUT YOUR LESSONS:
Lessons will normally start and finish in the same place. If you require picking up or dropping off at an alternative location, please let me know in plenty of time.
I am fairly flexible in regard to this, but please be aware that it will be your lesson time which will be reduced if I have to travel out with my normal working area.
LESSON PAYMENTS:
All lessons must be paid for at the end of the lesson either by cash or Bank Transfer. If you have taken advantage of the 10 hour discounted price, they must be used within 2 months, if you don’t complete the 10 hours then the lessons used will be charged at the standard rate, and the remaining funds refunded.
CANCELLING LESSONS:
Please note that a cancellation with less than 24hours notice gives me little time to make alternative arrangements and will result in a loss off income, and I reserve the right to charge for that lesson.
THE DRIVING TEST:
Bookings:
If you intend to use my car, you may book your test only after agreement with myself, you must notify me immediately of a driving test appointment so I can make myself available.
If you wish to cancel your test you must give the DVSA at least 3 working days notice not including bank holidays or weekends, any less and you will lose your fee.
I cannot be held responsible for any postponements or cancellations by the DVSA.
In the unlikely event of mechanical failure of my car on the day of the test. I will refund your test fee and refund you for that days session.
Use of the vehicle:
In the interests of pupil and public safety, the DVSA have gave me the right to withhold the use of my car for a test, if in my opinion, a pupil’s driving has not reached the required DVSA standard for the test and could be potentially or actually dangerous.
